Woman's wrists slashed, ex-boyfriend
arrested
September 9, 2006. A
Clearfield woman had her wrists slashed, allegedly by an estranged boyfriend,
Wednesday when a domestic dispute turned violent. Trinidad Antonio Elizalde, 29,
was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, aggravated burglary and
terroristic threats for allegedly attacking his girlfriend with a large kitchen
knife about 10:30 a.m. at her parents' home on Lynnwood Drive. Assistant Police
Chief Greg Krusi said the man cut her wrists and fled. Police apprehended
Elizalde in Ogden and booked him into the Davis County jail. The man, an
undocumented immigrant who recently was deported to Mexico, likely will face
federal charges.
